The flowers are beautiful and I love the way you captured the waterfall.
I used Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 for your Hibiscus.

I like the pictures! I think they look a bit dull, too, so it's not just your monitor. And they are all good enough so that they'll be really nice with a little adjustment.

I use CS4 (I've been using Photoshop since PS3, which was before I bought a digital camera!). I like using levels to brighten things up - you have the histogram to go by. Or you can use Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) and either use their sliders (exposure, recovery, fill light, blacks) or ACR's curves to change contrast and lightness.

Nice series, only need some slight adjustments in the post processing,
nr 1 and 5 are my favorites.

Thanks, for the comments - its amazing how much better the two adjusted versions of the flower look very nice! I think I am going to have to spend the next few weeks adjusting levels and brightness on the other 200 odd pictures I took.

I quite liked the unopened flower especially. Also a very good tip from Mark and a great edit by Goldwinger there I also have the CS4 and love it except some unexpected whims of it (though very rarely) like closing down!! Btw, if you can stand spending some time there, you'll see the mist on the lenses will vanish, which I experienced in February!
