As always mole, these pics are exceptional. I have wanted to see the southern balds for many years, and your pictures are making that desire even stronger!

I agree with GW. You've got to stop this! I am so jealous. You get as many wonderful images in a day that it takes me years to get. These are great. Now I know what I was trying to photograph in my yard last weekend, too. The bluets. Although, mine were more white and light purple. Of course, none of mine came out nearly as good as yours.

Keep em coming. I'm enjoying them all. Oh, and what happened to you wouldn't be able to post much now that the summer was upon us

I don't know about that, Roy - it is almost hurtful to see these superb images and be too far away to experience the subjects in person. Can you say "envious"?

Beautiful scenery once again wonderfully captured, the flowers and butterflies are gorgeous.
My favourite shot is the two trees in the background mist shot , eerie beauty.

Rodney.

Mole,

Another great series. You have a wonderful opportunity to to see so many Butterflies and Odonata in a single day never mind the all the flowers.

The 12 spotted Skimmer and the False Hellebores are my favorites. I am envious of all you have to photograph and the great hiking area you live and work in. Keep the pictures flowing!

Hey thanks everyone for all the kind comments. Glad you enjoyed my hike!! You'll have to come visit East Tennessee sometime soon and take even better pictures of your own! And isn't it great to be able to share what we all enjoy & appreciate...

All I can say is that you've posted more and better butterflies than I've taken, ever! Love the flowers, though. Sure wish it were that green out here, I'm another who's envious.
