Default Help with flash

i can't get the shutter speed up when using my sig500super..NO, i haven't got there in the manual yet. i want to shoot some macros..

has anyone here had to have their flash rechipped moving from the DS to the k20???

Yes, I had mine re-chipped (done in warranty)

You may find that the connectors are more sensitive to movement on the K20D

I know that if there is the slightest movement, or if the flash or the flash cord are no seated correctly, then FP is the first thing to go

Just asking - did you enable high speed synch on the flash?

well, as much as i hate it this went off to sigma for a rechip.. ..
it worked but was inconsistent.. sigma will rechip it for $10 for return shipping.
to me $18.. at least that's what i was told..

i actually thought it was fine.. shoots macros fine.. it's when i was shooting normally that i found it inconsistent..
i can see why now many flashes come with a usb port..
a question tho..
why can't you update chips when using the cameras connections
