This is my Grandson, Owen, at 10 months. Image is soft by design. What do you think?

I like this shot. While I agree you could sharpen the eyes, I wouldn't touch the face - the soft skin is appropriate for a baby. Maybe a hair sharper with the lips and tongue but not even sure that would be a good idea. Go very gently with this one because it is such a cute picture and I don't think it would take well to global changes.
