Actually, the cormorant is on the back slope of the roof with only its head showing, but it sure makes you look twice!

Whatever else was happening sure looks serious. The peanut gallery on the roof had a lot to look at.

Sure looks like something exciting was happening! Guess photo-journalism is a good change from birds, isn't it? What was going on that brought out all kinds of reporters and law enforcement?

Well Harriet,
perhaps I shouldn't be using these for a humorous story. the real deal was tragic. a little boy 8 years old went down to the lake to play late in the afternoon and never came home. They started the search and rescue operation at the crack of dawn, They found his body at 7:45am. they don't know what happened or why he was in the water, he didn't know how to swim. a very sad time for our neighborhood.

GW, I came to say you need to add another bubble to the first photo that says "go ahead, you always tell us that" by the guys on the right that all look like they're talking at once.

I am sorry to hear about the little boy. Such a tragedy.

I was think about something like that but, thought it might be a little too much.

BTW I should add that Linda was behind the camera for the search & rescue, I had already gone to work and didn't know anything about it till I got home that afternoon.
