Dole Pineapple Plantation

I'm going to suffer from shutter finger exhaustion before this vacation is done.....so many opportunities...and SO much color. Yesterday we visited the Dole pineapple plantation, still very much a working plantation

However, the highlight was the attached gardens

All shots taken with the K20 and the Tamron 28-75 Di LD Macro f/2.8. Processing is minimal with just a touch of Unsharp Mask and Levels tweaking. (I got the ULead Photoimpact editor g on my son's desktop, so I'm no longer straining my eyes to edit on a 9" screen; however, the editor does things a little differently from either PSE or PSP, so I'm still learning where things are.)

Love all the tropical foliage Paul! The close-ups of the flowers (#,4,5 & 6) are A1. What do they call #6?

I was thinking the same thing, GW. Such beauty all around. Beautiful blue skies. Lovely flowers.

Nice job, Paul.

What great colors! Looks like wonderful gardens, another spot I'd love to visit.

And I'm another one who just shoots flowers I think are pretty, not worrying about what they are.

Hi Guys, correct me if I'm wrong but No 6 looks like a pink frangipanni. More common to see the white flower versions.
cheers

Great colours and sharp photos Paul.

Paul,

You are out and about where I grew up. Nice to see what you are posting.

The flower in question is a pink version of the "Plumeria".
