I beg to differ daniel, my 48 AF-1 does have a USB input, I haven't used it at all, but it's there. ... Jack

Oops my apology
Metz 48 does specify that "To better facilitate compatibility with current and future cameras, this flash now features a built-in USB port that allows for future firmware updates via the internet."
