Very nice, glad to hear about another company that is good about servicing their product. The only question I have, does it work right now?

Just out of curiosity, what does re-chipping do exactly? I have a sigma 24-135mm.

Mike - it is just for the 500 super flash gun

Where Sigma reverse engineer to work with Pentax, the earlier flashes were set up for the d series and not the K series.

Re-chipping makes them work with the K series as well

Congrats Roy

I found Sigma UK to be very quick as well when I sent mine in. 3-4 days if I remember right

It is like a firmware upgrade and the procedure should be straightforward.

Metz 58 (not 48 version) has an USB input and you can download the latest of pttl data for the flash if Pentax adds in some more code for using newer dslr (say K7)

Sigma 24-135mm has very few electronics and there is little to worry.
