Default Jasper National Park, Alberta Photo's

This was the start of our 12 day Jasper & Glacier National Park vacation.
(all shots were with Pentax K10D w/28-300mm)

Weather wasn't cooperating while we were there...

It was getting dark when we took this at 9pm

Double Wow from me! # 2 & #3 belong on a calendar. I guess I need to add this destination to my bucket list.

What brand is the 28-300 that you used? I am still waffliing over buying a 18-250 (i.e. between Pentax, Tamron, and now Sigma).

Tamron. The new Tamron 18-270mm is even better!

Jack,

The picture of the dear standing in the field of Dandelion and Indian Paintbrush is fantastic. You had his full attention.

The other shots are equally beautiful in their own right. I think that Glacier NP is the most wild and beautiful in our NP system. I hope you get to see some Grizzlies. When we were there the temperature was in the high 90 degree F range and the bears were in the deep woods taking cover.

I look forward to more of your pictures.

Lou

Beautiful pictures! A pretty location, for sure, and I'd love to go back there, now that I have a better camera. Brings back some wonderful memories.

have you considered HDR on the shots??
it does require a tripod..
