Default 4th of July Parade (6 images)

Hadn't been to a 4th of July parade in years and finally had the chance to attend one in Waukesha, Wisconsin. While I took plenty of pictures of floats and bands, here are some that truly reflect the spirit of the land. K20D + DA*16-50 & DA*50-135.

She's got the patriotic spirit in her. . .

Waukesha FD

Some colorful outfits

And some unique hair-do's

Vintage military

And vintage costumes

A great series - rich colors, great expressions, fine composition - really captures the feeling of the parade.

Nice, colorful photos. Looks like it was a fun parade. You sure are getting around lately aren't you. First DC now Wisconsin.

Nice series! You really captured the small town feel of America. And I like your use of the red, white, blue color pallet.

Thanks Mole, Patty, Daniel, Jim & Lou. In addition to the parade, I had fun people watching through my camera!

Yes, Patty...been getting around a bit this Summer. Got 2 more big trips left for 2009...one coming up at the end of July (tropical destination) and one to the NP's in Utah in October (a pure photo trek).

I have a couple of fireworks images that I'll post in a later thread today.
