Default My K20D goes out with a bang

My Pentax K-7 order has shipped, so the time to part with my K20D is fast approaching. Before that, however, I gave my K20D a last hurrah.

This past weekend, I was in Los Angeles for the annual Anime Expo. For the unfamiliar, anime is Japanese animation. At expos like these, fans dress up as characters from their favorite anime/manga or video game. So, naturally, this was a perfect venue for photographers. At this event alone, I took over 16 GB of RAWs!

Here's a link to all the photos posted from the event (some may be NSFW): http://www.flickr.com/photos/inferno...7620790711151/

Here are a few photos from the event:

And speaking of going out with a bang, this will probably be the last photo taken with the K20D:

Wow, that is going out with a bang. What lens did you use for these?

Pretty cool, Jason!
When I get My K7, I'll still keep the K20 for back up.

That's exciting, but I find it sometimes hard to say good-bye to a well-loved camera. So when's the date for your new one to arrive? Please post some pictures with the new camera - I love all of your pictures (they are always so much fun) and I'm going to be fascinated to see what you make of it.

Congratulations on a fun series of shots. The fireworks are really well done. I'm holding off on ordering a K7 till it's marketed with the battery and the WR kit lenses, but I envy your anticipation and can't wait to see your work with it.

My wife asked me a couple of weeks ago if I planned to sell either the K10 or K20 when I buy the new one. I diplomatically evaded an answer, noting that I assume the K20 will become my primary backup and, since it's "outmoded technolog," I probably wouldn't be able to get anything for the K10.

Since then, two of my sons, one of whom is a K100 owner, have started asking the same questions. I know neither of them could have an ulterior motive, lol.

I used the DA* 16-50 f/2.8 for all but one of those pics. The "hug" photo was taken with the DA 10-17 fisheye.
