Default Stone Faced

Took this while visiting Pemaquid Point, Maine. The profile struck me as being very human like.

Very interesting picture - you are right, it sure looks like a face. It would fit in nicely with July's challenge, too.

I agree -- it's a very interesting profile. As I'm sure you know, New Hampshire lost the Old Man of the Mountains a few years ago; perhaps Maine should start a major publicity campaign. Haven't been to Pemaquid Point for many years, but I remember it as being very beautiful.

You're right it is very beautiful.

We stopped nearby to Pemaquid on our way to Nova Scotia. Went out to the Lighthouse/Park for some sight seeing. Unfortunately the weather during our stay was a continuation of the many weeks of rain/cool temperatures/fog that the area was experiencing. Despite that it was still an excellent visit.

Never been to Permaquid Point but the face on the rock is unmistakable. Maine better watch out I saw a oversized truck with NH plates on it heading north on the Maine TPK.

Life is perception indeed! Looks like Thing from the Fantastic Four is gazing at the sea at his most fateful moment : )

My first thoughts exactly. The Old Man on the Mountain. As a matter of fact, we were thinking yesterday it was a shame it had come down as I could have used it for my "rocks" shot for the challenge.

You can see the furrow in his brow about the fog coming in. Nice shot.
