Default Lastest Bird Shots

I recieved my new Pentax DA 55-300mm f/4-5.8 ED today , ordered it from B&H last Wednesday.

Here are my first avian shots with it --

Butcherbird at 300mm slightly cropped.

I had problems uploading, so only 4 not 6.

I especially liked #2 and #3. Such a remarkable species indeed! 300 mm shows off especially in picture #4, in which one can even see around from the reflections in the birds's eye!

I really like the second one. Almost looks like he's saying, "Look at me, ma. I'm flying! Ahhhh, am I supposed to do something with my wings?"

Congrats on the lens. Looks like you are going to enjoy it.

I enjoy very much seeing you unusual birds (unusual to me that is). Looks like you will have a lot of fun with that lens and get some more great pictures.
