Default K7 -- getting some good stuff! (6 imgs)

Hi All,

Gulls, pigeons, and a young BCNH. Can't say that I couldn't have gotten these with the K20, but the K7 did make it a lot easier. . .

Just got this guy in final landing approach. . .

Shot these from about 100 feet @ 714mm -- the last one is easily the best shot from a very good day's shooting.

It seems that all the herons around here occasionally just drop a wing, usually raising the foot on the same side. I don't know why they do it -- maybe they know they're being photographed, and they're just posing. . .I've got quite a few example shots of this behavior, but this was definitely a case of right place/right time. . .

. . . and just how do they fold up all that wing????. . .

I'm really having some fun with this body!!!

Wow! That K-7 is really performing for you Scott!

That is a great series, and all of them are very wel focused.

All lovely, well composed and detailed photos - especially like the expression of the first Night Heron photo.

Very nice pictures, something a little different with the birds in flight. You're definitely getting comfortable with the camera - that last one is awesome!

Fabulous flight shots and I love the last one, the lighting coming through really makes it.

Scott,

Beautiful BIF shots. The lighting in all of them is great. It didn't take you long to figure out how to use that new camera and get the most out of it.

Hi All,

Thanks for the comments!

I'm getting used to this camera a lot faster than I did the K20, even though the K20 was more similar to the K10 than the K7 is to the K20.

So far, so good. . .
