Rodney, # 1 with the light blue background is my Favorite. The bird is quite nice looking. # 2 is a little menacing looking.

Hi Rodney,

I like these guys. It looks like the Kookabura isn't as skittish as our Belted Kingfisher, or the brightly colored European variety. I'm always on the lookout for BKs, and have only gotten anywhere near this close only once in 5 years, and that was by pure chance. Our BKs also have a laugh like call -- more like a cackle, and they haven't been shy about using it to taunt me after they take off to another tree that's just far enough away that I can't get a good shot, and close enough to make me try again. . .

Good stuff!!!
