Default Couple from the other day

My wife's uncle invited us out for a ride on his boat down the Erie Canal through Tonawanda on Tuesday. The kids loved it and it was a beautiful day for a boat ride. First one is an old rail bridge that crosses from the City of Tonawanda side to the North Toawanda side of the canal. Last 2 are a couple sunset shots I took after we docked the boat for the night.

I'm throwing this one in as well, although it didn't turn out as well as I was hoping for. This is one of those times when I wish I had more experience and a better lens.

The sunsets are really nice, and I like the bridge, too. As you say, the GBH would have been an outstanding shot with a better lens. Is this the start of LBA?

Nice composition and excellent exposure on the bridge. The second sunset is lovely - especially like how well the reflection works. Your heron shot has fine composition, just needs a sharper lens...

Beautiful sunset photos. I'm curious. How does that bridge work? I can see the hinged part, but what determines when it does up and down?
