Default Slow Panning shot

I used to shoot panning shots of fast bird in high shutter speed resulting in clear background with hardly any sense of motion.

Here is my attempt at 1/250s with my A300mmF4








I hope I can do some sport car scene later which seems to be Ira's domain

That is nicely done! Do you think the manual focus is harder or easier for panning?

You have the same lens. I have not had a key long AF lens (like the F* or FA* 300mm or longer) for comparison indeed
