I'm Sorry Buddy...
I didn't mean to step on your nose, its just that you blended right in...

Yikes! Too close for comfort. Is that muck or just sand?

mtnman Aug 17, 2009 8:38 PM

I'm gonna guess that 'gator is covered with algae or some weeds with very small leaves. I agree with Patty -- too close for my taste.

Get out your macro lens, GW, and take a close-up of the green stuff so we can tell if it is duckweed or something similar.

I agree...too close!

GW - that is a good camouflage job! I sure wouldn't want to mistake that for a stepping stone, though.

It is amazing what you can step on in the water and it will kill you, Stone Fish, Crocodiles and of course Stingrays.

I agree with Penolta. We need a macro real close up to determine what species of duckweed we are dealing with. We need to see the details of the stem and the leaf's edge!

GW, when you go and get the macro of the duckweed for Kjel and Penolta the one on his nose would be a fine specimen. If you don't have a macro lens an old 50mm reversed would do a fine job. LOL

What's so special about a picture of some old log covered with duck weed?????:D
