Default Rhodos last set

This is the last set I'm posting here from my holiday on Rhodos.
Just some places you should visit if you get there.

Again all with the k20d and tamron 18-200.

A panorama of the village and bay in front of it.
a larger version of it is here: http://rhermans.smugmug.com/photos/6...67_FCnMo-O.jpg

The walk to the castle isn't that hard as long as you go before it hits 40c

Then as a reward you've got the ruins of the acropolis and a magnificent view.

And then a butterfly comes by and I'm distracted (not to the liking of the rest of the family)
(200mm and manual focus)

and a last view from the acropolis

Kamiros is another place to visit, it's an archeological site from the 5th century B.C.
Although more than half of it is buried it's impressive.

Some of the wildlife there (tamron 18-200 + raynox dcr150)

Thanks for watching

Ronny - thanks again for sharing these great photos - they give a fine and diverse "taste" of this corner of the world. The panorama is especially nice, but all are great shots, with a fine eye to composition and story.

What lovely country, Ronny. The views from the acropolis, as you said, are just magnificent. My calendar this year is Greece. I've wanted to go since I was in high school. Don't know that I'll ever get to check that off my list of things to do.

Ronny, your pictures are great! Makes me want to visit Greece.

The color of the Aegean sea is fantastic. It is a great background to the ancient ruins.

Your swallowtail in flight is an awesome capture.

Taking a Raynox 150 is a great idea for travel macro's as it is small and lightweight. I need to get one.

Simply can't understand why anyone would want to leave the half-warm, half-nice rainy summer in northern Europe to see this.

Thanks for wonderful images in this and previous threads, Ronny. They owe you for boosting their tourist income. Even if the ruin pictures are awesome, my favourite is the butterfly on the flower. You've got everything in place in that one: subject, colours, sharpness, composition.
