Cameanee, Glad I was able to brig the beauty of this bird to your attention! Thanks for the compliment.

Penolta, I have been surprised by the fact that I was bracing myself on the back swim pad of my boat which is above the engine which was at idle but nonetheless vibrating. The boat was not in a dead calm spot either. I have taken pictures with a tripod and had them come out with more shake than this.

I don't know what force of nature made everything come together and give me this picture. I was trying real hard but I am convinced there was some powerful luck involved as well to have this outcome.

Your comment pleased me no end.

Thanks Ira, I think after my exploits with this beautiful bird I understand the quote "crazy as a Loon". It at least describes my obsession to photograph it!
