Default Crystal Springs sunset

Before spending part of my afternoon scouting around for potential car photography locations, I stumbled upon this interesting scene at Crystal Springs Reservoir near San Mateo, CA. I knew that this scene would look great around sunset, so I made it a point to return after the drive.

I used the K-7's built-in HDR capture mode to take this shot. Did a little PP in Lightroom to increase the contrast.



This was taken earlier, not as an HDR:

Really like # 2. Good use of DoF and very nice detail.
No. 1 has got nice lighting, but it is hard for me to choose between the foreground subject and the background.

I like them both. The HDR is well done, a good scene to use it on. The colors are wonderful!
