Well thank you all for all the most positive and kind comments! I have had several family members also say I should write & illustrate a book someday, but never so many votes! Most of mine are taken on my own time, and I have donated many to our state parks (used on the website, in the TN Conservationist magazine, and other places...), but will have to give your ideas some thought. Thanks again, and glad so many enjoyed seeing this little park!

By the way, there is an interesting bit of recent history about Laurel Run Park. Back in 1984, they filmed a movie called The River (with Sissy Spacek and Mel Gibson, among others) along the Holston River. After the filming, the land was donated to Hawkins County, and is the basis of the park. I've never seen the movie, but have heard it's pretty bad. But a great little park was the result!

I'm a bit late seeing these, and can concur with all that has been said above.
These pictures and story are outstanding, as all your post have been.

Keep up the magnificent work
