Default Olvera Street, Los Angeles

Despite the heat, we headed into Los Angeles last Sunday. Here's a few pics from the day.

K100d 50/1.4 & 18-250. All JPEG's, resized, otherwise straight from the camera.

Great series of shots, first didn't notice that there was more than 1 guy with feathers.
Love the effect, and that's also my favourite of the series.
The glass then is IMHO the least of the bunch, dof is a bit to shallow.

Very nice series on street life! I like 'em all...each image conveys such strong character (& color too)!

I used to hang out there as a kid, taking the bus from the Valley. You brought it right back as you captured the flavor perfectly. Nice shots.

Ronny: the Margarita was the best I could come up with considering I bumped up the ISO so high. Guess I didn't pay mind to DOF so much, but was happy with the Bokeh and it didn't taste so bad either

GW: Guess I've been hesitant to share my pics because technically they don't measure up. But what better way to learn.

Thanks for all the nice comments

Great pictures. Like Pboerger it brings back fond memories when I lived on the left coast back in 1967, also in the valley.

Wonderful pictures and vibrant colors. Technically they are splendid. Keep the pictures coming... nice work!

These are wonderful pictures. I love living in a very smll town, but scenes like these remind me that big cities also offer a lot. My favorite are of the dancers with feathers, but for some reason, I'm craving a Margarita right now. I can't understand why.....

What fun pictures! These are very good, captures the fun and color of a tourist spot. I love pictures like these - most of the time I don't take the detail shots like this and mine are very boring. Maybe some weekend, when I have nothing to do (yeah, right), I'll take the time to go downtown and visit some of the very interesting places in L.A. It's been a very long time since I did that.
