Default on for the long ride

Not the best photo in the world, but this little guy was on my car window one morning last week. I quickly took some shots before I took off just for the heck of it. (Really should have thought to turn off the car first.)

Anyway, he was still with me when I got to work 17 miles and 30 minutes later. Sometimes at speeds of close to 50mph. I thought maybe he'd died of a heart attack, but when I came out later he wasn't on my window any more.

Guess I took him away from his family. But, I'd never really figured he'd stay on the car past the end of the driveway.

One wild ride for him, lucky he had a Angel looking after him, great shot.

Sometimes it's incredible how they keep a hold on the windscreen.

Don't think I could have driven away before it would have flown off. (due to me not stopping taking pictures).

Patty,

Nice shot! Early in the morning the dragonflies are not yet warmed up and seem to need the warmth of the sun to get there energy back. With the cool mornings we have been having, I think that explains his behavior.

It was hard for me to stop taking pictures. But, as usual, I was running late for work and really had to go.

I had forgotten about that, Lou. And, yes, it has been cold in the morning. I took out my slippers this morning because I can't get my feet warm and get going. Sort of like the dragonfly.
