Daniel - looks like some wonderful use of your "stuck in town" time - such great capture of the personalities of these greedy birds! Thanks for sharing!

Great series Daniel,

first and last are my fav. First is imho the sharpest, and I love the last ones catch.

Harriet, Penolta, Ronny, Mole

Thanks for all the positives

Ronny I like the last one too. And while the gull was flying away I got another image at a faster shutter speed resulting in loosing the motion blur which was what I had been trying to get recently

Taken today the same location and exactly at the same second (re exif 19-Sep-2009 17:16:57) as I was panning and following the bird

As I said . Good exercise.

From the same location today. The heron just refused to take off completely. In this distracting and stationary image

Must be a good fishing spot! I really like all 3 of the new pictures.

Nicely done, Daniel.

Your skill and practice is paying off in spades. I loved the last shot.

my keep rate is so low its not worth taking the photos
i cant say i have ever seen a gull actually catch a fish
all the ones i see scavenge of other birds or people
a most interesting series of pictures
