Default Antwerp at night

Just some night shots of the city I live: Antwerp

After my holiday I was really happy how the night shots had turned out, so I tried again at home.
This time without even using a tripod, just the k20d and tamron 18-200
The iso is a bit higher, and I did put the camera against something solid to stop shake

I’m still amazed at how easy night shots are with this camera.

Most shots show the Cathedral of our Lady.

This is the townhall, the other side of previous shot.

And to finish

Cheers

Ronny

Beautiful Ronny! I especially like the first one..the blue sky looks like it was shot at dusk? Cities have a nice ambience at night and you have captured them exquisitely!

Beautiful shots! Of course, it is ironic you are returning home to take shots where most of us can only dream of vacationing! I imagine one of the best things about living in a city is the night photography, certainly it would be for a city with as much history as Antwerp.

Ronny - What Tim said. The second is my favorite, and if I lived in a big city, I'd try to get out for night photography about once a month or so. The results are always so satisfying when you get it right.

Thanks Tim,

but I do feel the same way about the pictures of home that others post.
How I wish I could visit those places.
