Default First rays of sun

This morning as I went out to go to work I had to go back in and grab the camera...

I love the early morning light at this time of year. Frequently as I drive to work (hurrying because I'm running late), I wish I could stop and photograph the landscape I pass through. I'm glad you took a few extra minutes to capture this wonderful shot.

Capturing light is what it's all about. You did it well with this picture. Glad you went back for the camera.

Perfect timing - such wonderful light! Harvest time and long shadows - love the combination.

Lovely, Kjell. I love the morning light. But, like mtnman, am usually running late and don't want to risk stopping and getting carried away.

Thanks for the nice comments, all. No risk to be late to work due to this, two minutes later it was over.

As my artist daughter reminded me, "photo-graphy" literally means, "drawing with light." You certainly drew a lovely work of light!

Very nicely composed with those curved lines of the mowed hay Kjell. Well worth turning back for.
