I did a bit of an extreme PP on your posted picture. It seemed a bit dark and underexposed. Most possibly the effect you were going after. This edit is my version of your well timed capture.

Upon further review this was a bit extreme but I will leave it unless you rather have it removed.

Rodney - once again it's amazing to me how you capture so much emotion in these "common" birds. I like both your original and VIZnquests edit, but prefer the more mysterious look of your original.
