Nice series Patty. Now ya gotta get one of those 800mm lenses so you can zoom in closer!
Ya know ya want one.

I agree with all the previous comments patty -- these are very nice shots. I didn't know that seals frequent the coast in Massachusetts. I thought they were only found (in this area, anyway) along the Maine coast and in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

Thanks, GW and mtnman.

No, the 800 won't be enough. I want a 1000mm. I can dream can't I. Although, probably couldn't hold it.

mtnman - I didn't know there were seals on the east coast either. Until two things happened last week. Another forum member mentioned he was going to Cape Cod to see the seals and then at our camera club meeting Wed. night the speaker was showing images he'd taken at the beach of the seals. I had to go right out and check for myself. They are supposedly only there in the fall and winter. Along with snowy owls I'd like to find some time.

It certainly looked like a miserable day but the great shots make up for it.

Cool, count me as another one who did not know there were seals that far south in New England. When I was a kid we went to Rye Beach every summer, I don't remember seeing any seals then. Your photos do capture a taste of a cool New England summer day Patty.
