Default Car 283

MadMikeSS,

Fantastic pictures! That's me in #283. It's a 1951 MG TD going against a 1947 MG TC. If you're curious about any of the cars, the full entry list is available at svra.com.

Would you mind if I copied your images and put them up on a website? I'd give you full credit of course.

I love the internet! All the racers put on a great show and the cars were awesome to see. I sent you a PM about the pictures.

Thanks Kurt

No doubt, I wish I had been racing instead of watching!

Okay, so it is a TC and a TD, I should have known that the TF was a little more "radical"

Fantastic shots, Mike... it does this former racer's heart a world of good to see others interested in these cars. I loved the shot of that two-liter Lola. Looks almost like a Can-Am car. I competed in both SCCA Showroom Stock and Formula Ford 1600 in the mid 1970s. Alas, my brief amateur career came to an end after I flipped the FF in turn one at Lime Rock. My buddy and I didn't have to funds to recover and continue.

Ira... the TF had the radiator slopped back at a more noticeable angle and the headlights were faired into the fenders. As much as I love the entire MG T series - and acknowledge the importance of the TC to the sport in North America - my personal favorite T series will forever be the TF 1500:

You guys seem to know more than I do about these old cars, but I do know that the last car is a Morgan.

Here are a couple more Morgans if you didn't get a chance to check out the rest of my photos:

More great pix of Morgan Trikes. The first one looks like it has the Matchless V-Twin engine...BTW...I have a newer Matchless (motorcycle) with a twin cylinder engine, but in this case it's a Norton 750cc vertical twin.

For those interested, here's a link to the same bunch of photos as my website but on my Picasa album, however, these include captions with the name of the driver/year/make/model/engine size of as many of them as I could match up to the official entry list from the SVRA site. http://picasaweb.google.com/madmikes...rixWatkinsGlen
