Check this out...

http://photorumors.com/2009/09/16/br...-out-tomorrow/

The site is called Photo Rumors so I can't say how much stock to put into this.

Looks interesting. If it can sustain that burst speed for a reasonable time it could be just the camera to upgrade my wife's K100d (she has been hinting at a K7 and she CAN'T have one before me!).

It has a lot of interesting specs. It will be something if real. As an aside I wonder if this has anything to do with the extremely high number of viewers of Steve's Pentax forum today???

Just Black on Black on Black is just fine.

In scrolling down on this post, I have to say, that please do not do this - Pentax. Some of these color combination, I can easily loose my breakfast over. I have said that your marketing is non-existent, does not make sense, and leaves me just dumbfounded! However, who ever came up with these color combinations let alone the idea to do this, is beyond professional help - its just downright stupid.

Its just a camera - not a fisher price toy for a 1 year old! I just want a good camera, with as many of the technological features you can design in. Any color as long as its black will do just fine, thank you.

It's real alright - forget the rumors:

http://www.steves-digicams.com/press...evel-dslr.html

Live view, HDR, video, CMOS, burst rate - this is entry level? A Baby easier to use k7 - with those features it could even cut into k7 sales. If they could get these into stores, the whole dslr picture could change. What are they going to replace the midlevel with? Only problem is no body only sales - again.

While I like matte black for several reasons (reflected light being a big one), different colors mean a whole lot to a number of people I know. One of them just had to have a phone in a particular color and they searched through numerous stores until they found the right one. If it sells cameras, go for it! Also, apparently in the US there will be black, white and limited runs of red and navy blue. That's not so bad at all.

Specs sound very nice - wonder who's sensor is in it? Only disadvantage for me, at least "on paper", is the fact that it's not weather sealed.

That 'newly developed' sensor can't be the highly anticipated “Exmor R” CMOS sensor of Sony for the dslr, which is said to be twice as sensitive as conventional CMOS sensors , or can it be???
As for the specs; though I liked the burst rate among many favourable features, it is the exposure bracketing which disappointed me for my kind of shooting.
As for colours, I'd also support Henry Ford's motto about the colour black : ) Yet my daughter says that #29 has quite appealed to her!
