Red and white both look cool and would stand out from the crowd, but may scare away the birds, so black for me.

100-12800 ISO...video...1/6000th of a second...shutter mechanism rated for 100,000 actuation's...also a 18-55 L (weather resistant) lens...

I have a KM I bought in April, 2009...kind of wish I held out...wonder with this remarkable sounding entry DSLR if there will be a K7 'Super' coming out soon...ie; more ISO, etc.

I just had my KM out tonight and got some nice late evening shots of busy downtown crowds @ 800 ISO...took some what I think are fab pix of vintage cars using 400 ISO...my 50 mm F 1.4...no discernible noise...I really like my KM...but going from the specs...I think I would like the KX better.

Okay...someone over at Pentax Japan got a little crazy with the credit card at the paint store... 20 body colors x 5 grip colors = 100 color combinations available in Japan...

Try out the color combinations here (Japanese): http://www.camera-pentax.jp/k-x/

Wow.

IIRC, the 18-55mm L lens was the cheaper version designed for the K2000, plastic mounting ring instead of metal. The weather sealed version is designated WS.

That's right...and I've got one...18-55 with the plastic mount...I wish it was metal...also no lens hood came with it...I was getting it mixed up with the Pentax water resistant lenses...I think they are WR...not sure if that is correct...Les

I personally like the red color....

However, I'm not sure I want to go from my K-10 to a K-x... I'm not sure the jump from 10MP to 12MP is really worth it.... especially since I don't really want (or need) the lenses... I guess I'll wait to see if a body only option is offered....

Paul

Here are my thoughts on the Pentax K-x and Pentax K-xC (request to Pentax by Hin)

I hope Pentax can make the color selection an international and global choice without boundaries. It is a difficult logistics for Pentax but it can attract enthusiasts with no physical and geological boundaries. If they go this far to tempt us, please tempt us on a equal basis.

PS: some punt intended in my blog post. enjoy it while we can before RH take a stab on reporting RED HOT issues and problems with color. Congratulation to all of us Pentaxians who stay put in Pentax.

Thanks,
Hin
