JimC-

I honestly think that this might be a camera to really watch. Unfortunately the Pentax K-2000 never got the interest that it deserved. Now with the Pentax KT using an entirely new imager, has an even better chance.

Also it is being introduced especially for the 2009 Christmas market, which might give the Pentax KT an even better chance.

Yea, this will be a very strong player in the entry-level dslr market. Offers alot of features for the price-point. Be interested to see how the image quality comes out.

wish the mix-n-match color options from Japan would have made it across the "pond"

Hi there hards-

My husband and I believe in the Pentax KX so much, we put in our pre-order with www.amazon.com today (10/12/09). Now we are looking forward to early delivery. please wish us luck.

it would appear that Pentax has brought out the KX model at exactly the right time to take advantage of the upcoming 2009 Christmas market.

I was playing around with the K-X today at adorama, it is a very well made camera. I took some shots with it, as I had my camera with me and put my card in to the pentax. I view the shot on one of the macbooks they had on the show room floor. And the pictures were very good. My brother is waiting for the double lens kit with the 70-300mm to come in. It a great camera at a great price 700 bucks for two good lenses. The monochrome feature where you can highlight just on color made for very artsy photos, and I like the pastel filter, making the photo look like a pastel painting.

I just purchased the kx after returning my Nikon D300. I really like it, but my Video is very grainy. Its worse than my little P&S pentax optio60. Any suggestions on how to fix this if possible? Thanks
