Default K7 Battery Case.

Ok one thing I noticed is that all dslr cameras I have bought have had some sort of battery protector, but not the K7.
I found a case for my AA batteries on ebay but have not been able to find anything for dslr batteries,
anybody know where i can pick a couple up?

Hi herc,

I usually just stick the extra battery in a pocket, so I just needed something to keep it from shorting out on the metal stuff that I might drop in there at the same time.

My solution was to make one. I cut up and folded a business card to cover the contacts plus a little extra, then covered it with a few layers of electrical tape to retain the shape.

In the past, I've also used an infant's sock -- no I didn't steal it from a baby, I went out and bought 3 pr at the local grocery store for about $1. The downside of these were that they got dirty (but I had spares) and the open end might allow a coin to get in there, which would defeat the original purpose.

For the K20, I had found a compact camera case that holds 2 batteries. It will clip to a belt or bag strap. Since I carry both the K20 and K-7 a lot, I've replaced one of the K20 spares with the K-7, but I carry the K-7 alone a lot, so the DIY cap stays with it.

Please excuse the bad pics, I just wanted to give a visual for the DIY cover

It is odd that the LI90 doesn't come with a cover, as the LI50/NP400 always does. There are two kinds - the end cap won't fit the LI90, but the flat side cover will, although it doesn't snap too securely in place and so requires a rubber band to keep it in place.

Oooh - very cute! I really like Optech's camera straps, might have to think about this.
