Default San Francisco LovEvolution (NSFW-ish)

LovEvolution is a dance music parade and festival held yearly in San Francisco. The festival started off with a parade that wentthrough Market Street, which is in the heart of SF. The parade, which people on the sidewalks could participate in by dancing alongside the floats, ended up at Civic Center, where dancing and electronic music went on through the day and into the night at various after-parties.

It's really a fun and interesting event to photograph at.

Here's the link to the Flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/inferno...7622511417370/

And here's some photos from the set to give you a feel for this event:

One of the DJ groups and people dancing. This shows the sheer amount of people at the event. It was pretty much full contact every step you took.

I felt a bit pervvy at times photographing such scantily-clad girls, but I did participate in the dancing too to get my shots =D. I didn't remain stationary targeting people like the tower of guys here:

It's amazing the events held in the bigger cities. Looks like a perfect day for such fun even for the spectators. Thanks for sharing these.

Default My K-7 went kaput!

Looks like my LovEvolution photos will be the last from my K-7 for a while...

Needed to use the K-7 at work today, only to find out that the camera is on the fritz. Switching the power on only resulted in a barely audible high-pitched whine. The LCD won't turn on, and after a few seconds, the battery indicator and nothing else shows up on the top LCD. If the AF switch is on C or AF, half-pressing will activate the AF mechanism, but AF is very wonky and doesn't appear to be functioning correctly. Fully depressing in M mode (won't work in AF mode) will activate the shutter mechanism, but nothing writes to the memory card.

Guess this body will have to go into Pentax (along with the DA* 16-50mm that's already at the Arizona facility)

I bought the K-7 brand new from Amazon back in July. Now I'm starting to question my purchase...

Very sorry to hear of the problems with the K7. I hope it's a minor bug that can be remedied very easily. I agree with the other posts -- these are nice pics that show everyone having a good time.
