Rodney - thanks for the kind and helpful comments. That's just the effect I was trying for with that fence photo - but sure took a lot of bad ones to get one good one...

As usual Mole, these are wonderful pics. My favorite is on Little Hump Mountain, with the rocks in the foreground, and the footpath leading off into the distance. If there is a more inviting trail anywhere, I have not seen it. Your photos make me want to drive down to the southern Appalachians and start hiking immediately!

Mtnman - You are so right, there's nothing like the Southern Appalachians for great hiking and great views of the forested mountains!
