Default The Pentax KX has begun to ship!

According to the www.dpreview.com's, Pentax Discussion Group, the new, and hotly awaited, KX model has begun to arrive in the USA.

So the wait should not be much longer. I have already pre-ordered mine.

Have a great day.

Imagine the new Pentax KX equipped with the Pentax 18-250mm lens. Now that would be a gang busters combination. I have the Pentax 18-250mm lens now all I have to do is to receive the new Pentax KX I have pre-ordered.

Thanks for posting this link and news about the new Pentax KX, Sarah.

I think this might be a very significant camera in the marketplace.

les-

I really agree with you. The Pentax KX is surely the underdog, but with that new 12mp imager, it may well challenge the high ISO capability of the Nikon D-90. And it is built all within the K-2000's body, keeping it pleasantly small and very compact.

I stumbled upon a very interesting thing today as well involving the K-2000. I took the Pentax 18-250mm lens off my K-20 and mounted it on the K-2000 for a spin. That lens had be nothing special on the K-20. However, mounted on the K-2000, it was like it became a totally different lens. It produced more sharpness and and contrast, a very pleasant surprise.

Naturally, I can't wait to try it on the KX model as soon as it arrives. I have attached a photo sample from today's experimenting with the K-2000 body.

Have a great day.
