Nice bunch of photos. # 6 stands out for me but I like them all!

Nice that you got to meet Mole and that he was such a gracious host.

It is nice to have a member of the forum
close by. As Patty (nhmom) has said we both attend the same photo club and once a week meet and have an opportunity to talk and bounce ideas off each other and share a similar interest in Pentax gear.

Thanks guys,
I really appreciate all the comments, and yes it was great to meet mole in person. its funny how you picture someone in your mind you haven't meet before and how they can turn out to be so different. I had this 20's something young man pictured, turns out he's older than I thought. I wont tell you how old but, before we left I started calling him dad!
Just kidding

That's grandpa to you, young man!!

Glad you enjoyed our little hike, and hope for a longer one some. And yes, it is great to meet such fine people in person, and not just on a computer forum!!

The caterpillar is a Brown Hooded Owlet moth larva, same as the 4th photo in this post: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/pe...mn-stroll.html
Those lovely flowers, so well-captured by your skilled hands, are Asters - the main food source for the caterpillar!

By the way, did you both survive the effects of the pawpaws you ate here?

Grandpa... I feel like a great grandpa!... Wish I was in half as good a shape as you Mole.
Thanks for refreshing my memory on the caterpillar. Yes we survived the pawpaws just fine, I was surprised how tasty they were.

Oh, btw, the name of that fire tower was, Meadow Creek.
