Jim, Shanghai was the last stop on a 17 day tour we took of China (part of our "Bucket List").

Unfortunately for us a weather delay a day earlier prevented us from getting to Shanghai on schedule and we had to compress our stay in order to see as many things as we did. We were scheduled for
2 1/2 days there and compressed almost everything into 1 1/3.

Shanghai was fascinating and my only wish was that we had more time there.

I am sure that you and your wife would be delighted visiting the city and seeing her relatives.
