Default not something I usually shoot

Well as the title say.

What do you think? But please be honest . I've never really done something like this and was interested how it came out.

i like the placement in the scene. which is perfect.

what i think would have made for a stronger shot would have been to shoot from a lower perspective with a more wide angled lens. then your object could be used as an anchor for a more dramatic shot. obviously how dramatic would depend on time of day and the sky, and what we can't see in this shot. just some general suggestions though, play around with focal length (if you have another lens on you of course) and perspectives is a good way to learn new types of photography.

The weather was rubbish that day, overcast, rainy and grey, so nothing dramatic would come out of it . The only other lens I have is Sigma 10-20mm but with the weather back then I don't think it'd have worked. But thanks for suggestions.

I like this shot, it's very nice. Composition is excellent. It's probably too peaceful for my mood at the moment - I'm listening to the 1812 Overture. It's a very quiet, soothing, gentle type of picture, at odds with the stirring music. I should be listening to a lullaby or something like that to really properly appreciate it.

Oh look a navel in the smooth tan sand er I mean a rock in the sand we can only use our imagination at every chance.... It does have its place among all the rest of course... I remember my son making a drawing in the sand of a whale with a horn it was a sight to watch it slowly change back to just sand... Nice shot of course!

I like it. Anyone who has ever been to the beach can probably feel the draw of the water out as it leaves the rock - lonely on the beach.

I like the composition but feel that a little saturation my give the shot more punch.
