Interesting topic as I, just Saturday, turned on the dust shaker on my K20. Hadn't turned it on again until today and almost freaked that something was wrong with the camera when it shook. But, then remembered what I'd done.

My question - Is it best to just leave it on all the time? I do try to keep the camera facing down when changing lenses, although find it difficult to match up the red marks some times. I usually do as lesmore49 when changing lenses, but am not great at it.

I have gotten specks on my K100 over the years and never used anything but a blower to get them off. I think there might some specks on it still (haven't used it since December), but am afraid to try anything else to clean it. That's what I use PSE for.

p.s. Did discover that trying to shoot birds with the shake feature on is not good. Thought I was doing great to get fairly close without scaring them off, until I turned on the camera!
