GW:

Send me PM if you want the posts from both member names combined and I think I can merge them for you (something I haven't tried yet, but it doesn't look like it would be too difficult and I don't mind at all).

It's good to see you're making progress after the ordeal you've been through.

that senseless vandalism is beyond my comprehension
hopefully you will get back to some sort of normality soon
good luck with your recovery

it seems you gave Jim C a chance to try some new skills too

GW

So glad that things are beginning to get better for you both - will continue to keep you in our prayers.

You mentioned the lack of photo editing ability now. Do you know about portable apps? There are at least two photo editing applications that you can run off of a flash drive (no need to actually install anything on the computer itself) that might work for you now, until you are able to replace the desktop.

Irfanview portable: http://usb.smithtech.us/apps/irfanview.php

and Gimp portable: http://portableapps.com/apps/graphic.../gimp_portable

Irfanview does just simple editing (crop, adjust color balance, etc.) and can also run most photoshop plugins. Gimp is sort of an "imitation photoshop," with its own set of methods and plugins, etc. Both are free.

Let me know if you need more information on either - I've used both of them...

And keep on taking care of you & her!!
