Default Old Fairview School

Have not had a lot of time for photography lately - busy with park trails and some upcoming events. But was out cycling yesterday, and paused to visit an old schoolhouse.
Have not been able to find a lot of historical info on Fairview School, except that it was still in use up until the late 1940's or early 1950's, and is now home to the "Fairview Coon Hunters Club."
Here are a few views of the schoolhouse. Which do you prefer?

Had a chance to meet someone who had attended the school years ago. She informed me the reason there was only one outhouse: "The girls used the outhouse, the boys went into the woods behind the school."

She also remembered (and taught me) a number of the schoolyard games children played around the old Oak tree. I will be sharing these games with some 21st century children soon!

The old woods are gone from behind the school, but a new young forest is beginning to grow up around the old farmland.

Our region is full of these little tidbits of recent history, and of nature reclaiming the land. Hope to have chances to explore, and share more soon.

As always, glad for any suggestions or critique.

Nice series, it's nice that you have a job that lets you explore and document with your photography all the wonderful sites. Nicely done.

Mole, you know its really hard to pick a favorite from your shots, they are all so nice. If I had to, I suppose I'd pick the first one. The blue sky really stands out in all of them.

I do enjoy the background information that is always included with your images. As wonderful as they are it is always nice to get the "story" behind the photograph. Thank you for sharing.

Regards
