Default Just a Couple of Random Shots

I haven't been particularly pleased with some of the few shots I've had time to take in the last couple of weeks, but there are a couple I found interesting. Blue Jays are generally uncooperative hen they see my camera, but this fellow was quite proud of his find and agreed to stay still and show it to me. (shot with the K-7 and Bigma)

And, yesterday my son traded cars. Of course, he had to take Dad for a ride. I used the occasion to play with the Pentax 10-17 FE on the K20. Most of the shots were quickly headed to the recycling bin, but I kind of liked the effect on this one.

I'm hoping to go tonight and shoot a few Christmas lights.

I like that last one - neat effects and something I might like to try some early morning on the way to work (while my carpool buddy is driving).

This morning dawned clear and cold, the first hard frost of the year. One of the nicest sights was the early morning moon. (K-7 and Bigma)

The last reminder of summer in our yard has been a knockout rose that has proven to be exceptionally hardy, but even it couldn't take the frost.

Or, might it? This bud shows no signs of giving up

Rose shots taken with the K20, the Tamron 28-75 f/2.8 Macro, with O-Ring reflector on 540 flash.

Very nice blue moon, those flowers sure look cold, my favourite is the Blue Jay.

That is a great timely shot. Good show
They are only after peanuts which is just slightly easier

Nice shots, the last rose bud covered in frost and the morning moon are my favorites.

We are in Maine this week end and had 4" of snow last night.

I think these are keepers, Paul. Is the car shot a Maxima or Altima. It was just like looking at the dash of my car.

We had snow yesterday, too. Went to a Christmas show last night, but didn't risk taking my camera out. Today is bright and sunny.
