Let's keep the voting going until tonight (January 4th), if that's OK with all, and tabulate the results tomorrow (January 5th).

As long as it's midnight MY time! I can't make up my mind so I've been delaying voting. I'll try to make a decision after work - too many things to think about right now after having been gone for 2 weeks.

There are many wonderful shots, and I wish I'd had time to come up with an entry of my own. Oh well. I have to give the nod to Tundraguy's chipmunk.

All right, it's time to make a decision. The topic was the most joyous or joy-filled picture. While that could be interpreted in two ways, such as the way I did posting a picture of an object that would give the viewer joy, I think that's not the best interpretation of the subject (it was a desperate post on my part since I hadn't manage to take anything close to the subject otherwise).

So I'm going to vote for the picture that shows the most expression of joy. Since pboerger chose to keep his entry the carolers - the better of the two of his pictures in this thread - I can't vote for his skiers, who were having way too much fun. So tundraguy's chipmunk gets my vote - that's one joyful creature.

Competition was so close - all were such great and joyful photos. But it looks like the winner is...

TUNDRAGUY
(and the fat-faced chipmunk)!
Be sure to give him some extra food today, since he helped you win!

Congratulations!

Looking forward to your chosen topic for January!!

This is the second time in a row that the competition has been taken by a newcomer or relative newcomer. We are attracting some good photographers!

Congratulations Tundraguy. Stay with us - we look forward to your continued participation.
