Default Pentax AF-360 FGZ grinding?

I just purchased a used 360FGZ flash. All in all it seems great. However, when zooming to the maximum, I hear this wonderful grinding sound. It's very smooth going through 18-55mm; but when it tries to go beyond 58mm it grinds. Heck, when switching the flash on with my 70-300 lens on, it grinds for about a second non-stop. Is this normal?

It doesn't sound normal to me, I'd have it checked out before using it any more!

Jason, That's a great idea! They say a picture is worth a thousand words but, a sound byte is worth a lot more!

Oh, thank you! Actually it seems to have fixed itself now, I suppose something got knocked loose during shipment. While it still doesn't sound quite as smooth as yours, I'll probably just keep it rather than exchange.
