Default Geese on Parade

Yesterday was a wonderfully bright cool day. Perfect for our continuing trail repairs, and also perfect for "critter watching."

I just posted a whole series over at the "wildlife photos" part of the forum of a Heron's lunch. Here's just one shot from the series:

Our Canada Goose flock is increasing each year, and as winter approaches, they are flocking together more - perhaps for companionship as well as for safety.

Other than the crazy man with the camera, there were only one two other observers of this "Goose Parade," and they seemed more interested in the sunshine than the birds.

The geese paraded off into the lake, leaving good memories, a few molted feathers, and some well-fertilized grass!

Hope you enjoyed these sunny birds. We are expecting several inches of snow later today & tonight, and I hope to be able to get out to play (and to photograph some too).

Thanks for any comments & critique!

I know they're "messy" but, I really like Canadas. Kind of like how some folks feel about squirrels at their feeders. While I don't chase them away, I don't entice them either. Both Canadas and squirrels are sooo photogenic.

As usual... great shots, Mole.

Nice shooting Mole, I like them all. We get the Nor'easter tonight. They are forecasting up to a foot with more to our south.
