Default A Holiday Wish

A reprise of my annual Season's Greeting:

I wrote this little ditty for a Christmas card some years ago in Florida, where all these wading birds could be seen. Roseate refers to the Roseate Spoonbill, and Phoenicopterus is a Flamingo, which I couldn't otherwise rhyme; the rest should be recognisable to those who know the birds.

I love it! And the egret seems appropriate as a picture.

Merry Christmas to you, too. And hope you aren't planning on going out with all the frantic crowds, those who are rushing around at the last minute trying to finish up their lists or discovering something's missing at the last minute. Traffic and the crowds were crazy today, I can imagine what they will be like tomorrow...

Nice one Pen. I wanted to say something appropriate in reply but my brain isn't very punny this morning so, I guess I'll let someone else have a tern.

No - I've done my shopping on line this year. Unfortunately, there are no reindeer pulling the UPS trucks, though, and no drivers named Rudolph.

One good tern deserves another, GW. The punsters are out in force in the Wildlife Forum, where I posted this as well - check it out and have a good laugh: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/wi...iday-wish.html
