Hey Patty, I don't think so, he didn't go over there until Linda started towards him with the camera. And just for clarification... its a little lamb.
Thanks for looking.

Great series - lots of action and great capture of detail. Even better to see the fruits of some amazing generosity!

Very nice photos John. I'm rather new here, and I must have missed the story of the burglary. Very sorry to here that. Did they catch them?

Thank you; Mole, Frogfish, Tony and Hards,
For the kind words.
The really funny part of this set was the way he kept doing his neck, kind of like a hula dance. He didn't move his body or head, just his neck in a back and forth motion lake a hula dancer. quite comical, its times like this that a video option would come in handy.

Tony, I don't want to get this thread started all over again (I'm trying to get past it all) but this will bring you up to date on the burglary if you want to see the details

I think you maybe on to something there. The toy bear in the car is white, like the Egret and I know that many birds seem to be attracted by seeing their image in mirrors. One theory is that if they see something that looks like them, they regard it as a competitor in their territory.

A few of the pix show the Cattle Egret very close to the white toy...was it coincidence or was there a reason that the Egret seemed to be almost next to the toy ?

I dunno...just my guess.

Very cool shots GW. I also have never seen an Egret on a car!

Thank you Les, Steve and ted.
I didn't realize it was so unusual to see on on a car, we see it here quite often.

I don't know what he was looking for but, this little gut was exploring quite a few in the parking lot that day.
