Big Dawg this on lights my fire.

As a kid my older sister had an Iver Johnson girl's bike and it was handed down to me and I rode it for a few years until my parents got me a new Roadmaster. I loved that Iver Johnson for at that age it mattered not if the bike was girls or boys as long as it worked.

The frame of the Iver Johnson was heavy and I think there was a company that sold motors to be used as an add-on.

The Picture you took of the IJ motorcycle is great! Thanks for bringing back the memories.

Lou

Great picture...I've never seen an Iver-Johnson before..beautiful resto job.

You had to pedal that Iver-Johnson to get it started...that's a big engine to turn over..note the exhaust pipe...one long thin pipe with holes drilled through..would not muffle much...brakes...one rear external band......but there wasn't much traffic then.
